Heavy Equipment School Training Programs
The Associated Training Services (ATS) Heavy Equipment Operator Programs are comprehensive, industry developed, and nationally recognized by employers in the construction, earthmoving, and excavation industries.

ATS students are taught to operate heavy equipment through in-the-seat operation of many types of  heavy equipment and through classroom instruction. These heavy equipment  training programs are designed to give a person the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to operate the following types of heavy equipment:

  • Backhoes
  • Wheel Loaders
  • Scrapers
  • Excavators
  • Bulldozers
  • Road Graders
  • Articulated Haul Trucks
  • Skid Steers
  • All-Terrain Forklifts

Interested individuals should call the school to verify which types of equipment are offered. In addition to operating heavy equipment, students are also taught:

  • Grade Reading
  • Laser Levels
  • Soils
  • Safety
  • Site Layouts
  • Heavy Equipment Maintenance

These are the skills and knowledge employers are looking for and these are the subjects which are the key to our graduates securing a job as a heavy equipment operator. ATS understands which subjects and what types of equipment are most important to employers hiring equipment operators.

If you are looking for a steady and rewarding career, you could be one of America's highly respected and well paid heavy equipment operators with the training offered by Associated Training Services.

Commercial Diver License (CDL) Training
ATS School also offers Commercial Driver License (CDL) training programs. A CDL is required to haul many types of heavy equipment on a flatbed/lowboy trailer and to drive dump trucks on public roads. Many construction industry employers require heavy equipment operators and mobile crane operators to have a Class-A CDL. The CDL program prepares you to test and receive a Class-A CDL. Please be aware there are additional fees related to the CDL program which are not included in the tuition price. Fill out our online application to see if you qualify for our heavy equipment or CDL truck driving programs.
