BUILDING CONSTRUCTION TRAINING

Associated Training Services offers two programs in carpentry. They are designed to teach an individual fundamental and advanced skills and knowledge pertaining to wood frame and carpentry building construction through classroom/shop instruction, and through practicing.

Upon satisfactory completion of the Building Construction Training program, a graduate will be prepared for entry level employment in the building construction industry. The school then helps place the individual into a job in the building construction industry. Here are the two programs offered:

NCCER Construction Level - 1

Students will learn the fundamental construction terminology, techniques, tools, equipment, and materials used in wood frame building construction. Students will learn rough carpentry, framing, and home building. The teaching methods include classroom and shop instruction.

Full Time: 4 weeks (Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm)

NCCER Construction Levels 1 & 3

Students will learn the fundamental and advanced construction terminology, techniques, and materials used in wood frame building construction. In addition, students will learn a variety of safety practices and basic blueprint reading. Students will learn finish carpentry, framing, and home building. The teaching methods include classroom and shop instruction.

Full Time: 9 weeks (Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm)
