How Important is Career Services Assistance?
Career services assistance is a priority at all ATSN Schools. All graduates are eligible
to receive career services assistance. Listed below are different aspects of the job
placement assistance program. The School's placement database contains hundreds of
employers who hire graduates right out of our school. The Placement Director works
with each graduate to help them find employment. The School assists each student
in their local area throughout the United States. Our goal is to assist our graduates in
finding employment opportunities.
Career Services Assistance Database
Graduates are able to access our career services database by calling the School or on
the internet. The career services department assists in locating potential employers in
your community. In fact, you can search for potential employers by state, city, or zip
code. This allows the graduate to locate employers in specific geographical locations
throughout the United States.
National Career Services Assistance Coordinator
The career services assistance department begins working with students during the
first week of training. Each student is given a career services entrance interview to
determine their career services requests. Students can identify what area of the country
they will be seeking employment, and our placement department produces a list of
potential employers in that area. Each graduate receives a career services assistance
package that contains lists of potential employers along with other helpful career services
documentation concerning their training and their skills.
Plaement Assistance Follow-Up
Our placement department follows up with every graduate regarding his/her job
placement success. The placement assistance program does follow up correspondence
to ensure that every graduate is receiving placement assistance.
Career Services Assistance Website
The internet is a fantastic tool for career services. Literally thousands of students use
the internet to contact and keep in contact with employers and potential employers. In
early 2000 ATSN developed a website: www.the-job-site.com for this purpose. This
website is dedicated to providing career services help and employee resume tools to assist our
graduates and potential employers in connecting with each other. Students can post their
resumes on line and employers can post their job openings on www.the-job-site.com.
